Activities of Integration (AOI)
Coordinate multi-teacher AOI assessment and consolidate grades effortlessly.
Why Uganda schools need Activities of Integration (AOI)
Activities of Integration are one of the most powerful ideas in Uganda's CBC - and one of the hardest to manage. A Senior One AOI might require an English teacher, a Mathematics teacher, and a Science teacher to independently assess the same project, then consolidate their grades into a single report card entry. Doing this on paper means chasing colleagues across the staffroom, losing assessment sheets, and spending evenings manually combining scores. SwiftPlus gives every AOI a proper home.
Coordinating multiple teachers is chaotic
Paper forms get lost. Teachers forget. One contributing teacher's missing score holds up the entire class's report cards - and nobody notices until the last day of term.
Evidence exists only on paper
Photographs, reports, and project artefacts are collected during the AOI but rarely stored systematically. When a quality assurance visit comes, the school cannot produce evidence of learning.
Manual grade consolidation takes hours
Combining scores from three teachers, applying the correct weighting, and mapping to a competency level - for 40 students, per AOI - is hours of manual calculation every term.
Everything the Activities of Integration (AOI) module includes
Central AOI Register
Every AOI for the term is logged in a structured register: title, contributing subjects, assigned teachers, milestones, and deadline. Nothing gets missed.
Multi-Teacher Collaborative Assessment
Each contributing teacher enters their independent assessment in SwiftPlus. The system tracks who has submitted and who is outstanding - no chasing paper forms.
Automatic Grade Consolidation
Once all teachers have submitted, SwiftPlus consolidates the scores using the configured weighting, maps the result to the correct competency level, and marks the AOI complete.
Competency Evidence Upload
Teachers and students can attach digital evidence - photographs, scanned reports, presentation slides - directly to the AOI record, creating a rich portfolio for QA visits.
Automatic Report Card Integration
AOI grades flow directly into the final report card in the dedicated AOI section - exactly as the NCDC template requires. No manual data re-entry at any stage.
Full Audit Trail
Every assessment entry is time-stamped with the submitting teacher's name. Administrators can see the complete history of each AOI - who assessed what, and when.
From setup to results in 4 steps
Create the AOI entry
The department head or administrator creates the AOI record: title, description, contributing subjects, assigned teachers, and submission deadline.
Teachers assess independently
Each contributing teacher logs in and enters their competency assessment for every student in the class. SwiftPlus tracks outstanding submissions.
System consolidates the grades
Once all teachers have submitted, SwiftPlus applies the configured weighting and maps the consolidated score to the correct competency level automatically.
Grades flow to report cards
The consolidated AOI grade appears in the dedicated AOI section of each student's report card - ready for the end-of-term print run.
